Easter 2008

We had a wonderful Easter this year. Although we missed all our family in New England, we enjoyed lots of family time here in Virginia Beach, just the four of us. We started the morning off with Easter baskets and an egg hunt. We decided to use small eggs filled with jelly beans for Lily and large eggs filled with Gerber Puffs for Em. We also placed an "L" or an "E" on each of the eggs so Lily would have to find all her eggs and leave Emma's. It was a so fun to watch Lily run around the house and Emma even found a few on her own. She figured out how to get the Puffs pretty quickly and was very content just sitting and watching Lily run around. After our egg hunt, the girls played with their goodies (Grammie and the Easter Bunny really spoiled them) and Jeff cooked up a yummy breakfast of sausage, eggs and English muffins. After breakfast and naps we headed out to a few parks, as it was a beautiful Spring day. We started with a light hike on some nature trails at City Park and then went to the Fun Forest Playground in Chesapeake. It is a VERY large park with so much to do. The girls had a blast. We ended the afternoon with a quick stop at the dog park for Kastor. Back at home Jeff and I cooked up a small roast chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, stuffing and sugar snap peas. We also helped Lily and Emma enjoy some of their Easter chocolate stash. It was a really nice day with lots of memories. Enjoy the pictures, there's a bunch!! I couldn't pick my favorites so I just posted them all.
