Brianna's Wedding

Flew home to Maine for the weekend to attend my friend, Brianna's wedding. We've been friends since college so I was so happy to have the opportunity to share her special day. It was a little surreal, as for the first time in several years I took a trip alone. It was weird for me to be away from the girls for three full days. I knew Jeff was taking excellent care of them back home, I just have never left them for that long. However, after a really hectic year, it truly felt great to get away for the weekend and recharge my battery. It was also nice to travel with out strollers, diaper bags and sippy cups! ;)

Melissa (a.k.a. Little M), my fellow county girl and bff, picked me up from the Portland airport Friday night and hosted me for the weekend. Since Jeff wasn't able to make the trip, she was also my date for the wedding. On Saturday, we picked up Major on the way to the church so it really felt like a Pi Phi reunion! The wedding was a fairytale. Brianna looked like a princess, a truly stunning bride. Lily and Emma would have thought she was Cinderella! They were married in a beautiful church, with the reception across the street at the Portland Club. We danced, laughed and celebrated all night, with some late night fun in the Old Port. I loved catching up with old friends!

Thanks to all who came out to see me over the weekend, it was GREAT catching up with all of you. An extra special THANKS to Brad and Melissa for hosting me. You guys are the best!

And last....Congratulations to Brianna and Levi! It was a beautiful day. I wish you all the happiness in the world!

Jaguar Soccer Games

Soccer season has been going great. Jeff is enjoying being a Coach and Lily is making progress every week with her soccer skills. We are practicing every Wednesday with games on Saturday. Both of the girls had a GREAT first day at Mother's Day Out Preschool. It was a much easier start this year, as we were familiar with with school and had lots of friends to catch up with. Jeff and I are so proud of our girls. They truly love to learn and enjoy school every day. Here's to a successful school year!! Can't believe we'll have a kindergartner next year!

April and Cailyn's Visit

September 4th -9th

My sister and Cailyn came to visit for 6 days and we all had a blast. Having a cousin so close in age, always makes for lots of girl fun. I especially loved all the one on one time with my sister!! Here are some of our favorite moments from the visit:

Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon!

Well, we did it!! 13.1 miles, our first half marathon!!

What an exciting day for both Jeff and I. We were able to get out and enjoy a long distance race together. We had an absolutely perfect weather day. Temps were in the 70's for most of the race (which is tough to come by in Virginia Beach this time of the year). Jeff finished with an amazing time of 1 hour 46 minutes, while I finished at 2 hours 36 minutes (garmin time). I ran the race with two of the best running buddies, Pam and Bea. Thanks for always keeping me motivated ladies! I have posted a few pics and a slideshow of all the rest below. A VERY SPECIAL thank you to my sister for flying from Maine to take care of the girls for us. We couldn't have done it without you sis, you're the best!

Most are wondering...what's next for us? The Outer Banks (North Carolina) Half Marathon for me in November and the Shamrock full marathon in March for Jeff. I guess you can say we're officially hooked!
