Lily and Emma's birthdays are only one month apart so we decided to host a joint party. On May 9th we celebrated in style at a wonderful, private facility called "At the Hop". The place has several inflatables, dance floor, karaoke, dress up and lots of fun toys. The girls invited 12 friends and they all jumped for almost 2 hours straight. Since we were only having one party, Mommy went a little crazy with the cake ordering (as you'll see in the pics). It was a complete Disney princess castle! The party was princess themed and was hopefully everything our two little princesses could have wanted....family, friends, food and LOTS OF JUMPING FUN!
There are LOADS of pictures (in true Irene fashion), but so much to see! Enjoy....

July 4th 2008
We had a great time for the 4th of July. Our friends Beth and Bryan were here for the weekend and we hosted a big BBQ for our friends. We had burgers, brats, potato salad, corn on the cob, baked beans, watermelon and lots of yummy desserts. Kim made her famous strawberry cake and Erin and Jack made super cool "hamburger" cupcakes. Thank you to everyone for helping with the food.
The weather was WAY too hot and humid, but we kept cool with margaritas and beer. It was a little tough to hear all our neighbors splashing in their pools, but the great company kept everyone entertained. The kids had a blast with the pool, swing set and toys. It was a complete kid zone.
After the kids went to bed and the sun had set, we moved the party out to our street. Our neighbors put on an impressive fireworks display. It was nice to enjoy the show with out being out on the road and sitting in the traffic congestion.
Overall we had a wonderful 4th of July. The best part, Jeff was able to be home all weekend with us. Thank you to all our friends for coming to our party and helping us celebrate the 4th. We had a great time. Happy 4th of July to all!

We had a wonderful turn out for our girls night. There were 9 of us total (sorry you had to miss it Michelle). Everyone came with their favorite things to share. We had great food, which included; feta pasta salad, veggie ranch pizza, cheese & crackers tray, stuffed mushrooms, chocolate strawberry truffle cake and chocolate coffee bars. We also enjoyed wine and margaritas (mango, strawberry and regular flavored). Thanks to all of you that helped with the cooking.
During the evening we did a few fun ice breaker games and everyone got to know one another. We also shared our favorite items
with the group. I brought Bath an
d Body Works hand soap and Lindt chocolate. The girls were all very creative with their favorite items. In my goody bad I got a $5.00 gift card to Coldstone Creamery (my FAVORITE ice cream), B&BW shower gel, magnetic pad and pen, hand sanitizer and corn knobs. There were frames, candles, magazines, even the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
Thanks to all of you for coming and enjoying a relaxing girl night. I look forward to the next one....

Our New Year's PJ Party
It started a few weeks before Christmas...the annual, "what are we going to do for New Year's Eve this year?". We were contemplating this very question with our good friends Kim and Larry and came to the the conclusion we all wanted a relaxed, mellow night...maybe even a "pj" night. Well, that's when the idea was born. We decided to host a New Year's PJ party at our house. The idea: come in your favorite pj's, bring a yummy breakfast dish to share, play board games and we'll toast mimosas at midnight.
We invited 6 couples and it was a family friendly night. Everyone came in their festive pj's and we had a great time. The feast included: French Toast Casserole, Breakfast Burritos, 3 different Quiches, bacon, hash browns, fruit salad, muffins, mini muffins and donut holes, french toast bites and of course cupcakes and cookies. We all ate ourselves silly. Thanks to everyone for bringing such delicious breakfast food.
During the evening we just hung out and let the kids play. After the kiddos went to bed we played a few games of Guesstures and Cranium. I believe the women were the winners of the evening...hee hee! At midnight we turned the TV on and watched the ball drop. After a kiss from my sweetheart, we all headed outside to toast our mimosas and blow party horns with the neighbors.
Thanks to everyone who came and participated in our PJ party. We had so much fun ringing in the new year with such wonderful friends. We wish you all great happiness in 2008!
Enjoy the pics....
