Is not a big TV watcher, but likes The Fresh Beat Band and Backyardigans
Eats well, some favorites are cereal, squeeze yogurt, pasta salad, ham and cheese sandwhiches, "pop beans" (edamame), mac and cheese, blueberries and cranberries
VERY independent and strong willed
Loves playing outside and riding her scooter
Is fearless in the pool, loves to swim and jump off the diving board
Is a Mama's girl
Can't wait to be a big sister and meet her little brother
Loves to draw, color and do Arts and Crafts
Can write her name, sing her ABC's, say The Pledge of Allegiance and knows all her colors
Says "I love you" all the time

Birthday Bash

The pictures really say it all.  We had a joint birthday party for Lily and Emma at Woodstock Park here in Virginia Beach.  Over 50 guests, face painting, balloon twisting, a playground, lots of yummy food and cake and beautiful weather (besides the big gusts of wind).  A truly perfect day to celebrate our two little princesses!!  Enjoy the rather large slideshow...

Lily Turns 5!!!

Can't believe our little girl turned 5!! Here are the pictures from her actual birthday. She had a great day!  Jeff and I brought cupcakes into her class at school, we spent the afternoon at Chuck E. Cheeses and then her favorite dinner and presents.  One of her favorites, a new scooter!  She and Emma shared a big birthday bash in May.  Those pics soon...

Jeff's Surprise 30th Party

This year I was able to plan and keep secret a surprise 30th birthday party for Jeff. I hosted it at Gordan Biersch Restaurant and Brewery with some close friends and family. Above is the picture of his face when he saw everyone! I thought for sure he had figured it out, but he promises me he had no idea. We celebrated with lots of yummy appetizers, dinner, drinks and the best company. Thanks to everyone who came out and helped us celebrate Jeff FINALLY turning 30! Now he can stop harassing me about being so much "older and wiser". Happy Birthday Sweetie and welcome to the club! (Cole helping us party down!)

Happy 2nd Birthday Em!

Emma's birthday was a relaxing family weekend. Since we already had her party earlier in the month we just took it easy and spent time together. The Pungo Strawberry Festival was also in full swing, so we spent Saturday afternoon walking around the grounds, enjoying the rides, playing games and seeing the farm animals. Lily even went up on the Ferris wheel and loved it. Thanks to everyone who sent special gifts for our birthday girl. She loved everything and had a GREAT day! Can't believe our baby is TWO!!!

The Princess Party

Lily and Emma's birthdays are only one month apart so we decided to host a joint party. On May 9th we celebrated in style at a wonderful, private facility called "At the Hop". The place has several inflatables, dance floor, karaoke, dress up and lots of fun toys. The girls invited 12 friends and they all jumped for almost 2 hours straight. Since we were only having one party, Mommy went a little crazy with the cake ordering (as you'll see in the pics). It was a complete Disney princess castle! The party was princess themed and was hopefully everything our two little princesses could have wanted....family, friends, food and LOTS OF JUMPING FUN!

There are LOADS of pictures (in true Irene fashion), but so much to see! Enjoy....

G&G Shaw's Present

Grammy and Grampy Shaw got the girls a new outdoor picnic table to enjoy for their birthdays. The girls had a blast helping Daddy put it together. It is a WONDERFUL table and we're getting lots of use out of it (inside and out). Thanks Grammy and Grampy! We love it!

Here are all the pics from Lily's actual birthday. I have a few videos of her riding her new big girl bike, but can't seem to get them to load (I'll keep working on it). We had a great family day...breakfast at IHOP, shopping for the perfect princess bike, learning to ride a big girl bike and playing with Daddy in the yard! What more can a 4 year old want! Enjoy...
