Sesame Place 2009

Just can't say enough great things about this park! We had so much fun enjoying all the rides, water slides, shows and the parade. The girls were fearless and rode EVERY ride. Their favorite, Elmo's Blast Off! At The end of the day, we got hit with a pretty bad rain storm. For our troubles...the park gave all of us another all day free pass. I think we may have to make another trip up this fall! Enjoy the pictures!

Here are all the pics from a relaxing weekend spent with Jeff's grandfather and Grammy & Grampy Prager in Pennsylvania. It was wonderful to help Pop Pop celebrate 87 years! Thanks for having us.

There are lots of pics...enjoy!

We Made It to Maine!

I prepared for the worst and hoped for the best. I feared that traveling alone, all day, with a 3 year old and an 18 month old might actually be the death of me. Well, I have to be honest...it wasn't that bad. We started the day early and had lots of hands to help get us ready and to the airport (thanks Kim, Larry and Michelle). We arrived at the Norfolk Airport early and had no problems with luggage or security. The flights were on time to DC and to Boston. We had a slight delay for our Boston to Presque Isle Flight, but only about 40 minutes. The best part....the girls were AMAZING!!! They were SO WELL BEHAVED! I really know I had a guardian angel today, because with 2 toddlers, 2 large pieces of luggage, 3 HEAVY carry ons, a stroller, three airplanes, 2 layovers and a 50 degree temperature change, I'm still awake enough to type this post!!
Here are the pics....

The Beach (Maine)

August 15, 2007: These are some of my favorite pictures from our trip to Maine last month. It was a brisk day at the beach, but we still enjoyed it. The kids were so cute running around. Thanks to the Parenteau family for sharing their little piece of heaven with us. We had a great time.

On the Move

Sorry these posts are so out of order, we just wanted to update you all on our busy life. I am trying to keep up, but there is always something to be done. Today is our first down day in months. With all our house stuff under way, Jeff and I can finally take a deep breath.

Getting ready to leave Massachusetts and make our way to Virginia Beach.

The van packed to the brim with all our stuff... "Really mom, more time in the car?"

Lily and Kody, ready to go!

Finally on our way, but traveling is so exhausting.

Crossing over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and entering Virginia Beach!!

Back to the Beach!

We arrived safe and sound in Virginia Beach Saturday night. We split the drive in half from Boston and stopped in Pennsylvania to hit the theme park, Sesame Place. The park was GREAT and Lily had a blast!!! Emma was a dream and we had great weather. I'll try to post some pictures soon.

The drive down was a little tough....Emma was pretty tired of being in her car seat. We also hit some bad traffic in NY City and sat still for almost two hours. We finally arrived at our temporary place around 5:30 p.m. Saturday night and unloaded our stuff into our 2 bedroom apartment. It is tiny, but cute and VERY clean! It is totally furnished so we are all set. We checked Kody into the Kitty Hotel so he is in good hands. Kastor is staying with Jeff's parent's until we buy a house.

In two short days we have already hit Target (of course) for some little needed house stuff, got cell phones, stocked the fridge with groceries and have been out looking at potential neighborhoods. There are LOTS of houses for sale so we are hoping to find something quick. It feels kind of good to get all our suitcases unpacked even if it's only for a month.

So...We're back at the beach. The weather is bright and sunny, as we expected. If you want our contact information, just shoot us an email. We meet with our agent on Tuesday, so wish us luck on our house hunting adventure with two kids.

Travel/Move Schedule

The time has come once again for us to pack our bags and head to a new duty station. We have loved our time here in Germany and are truly sad to be leaving. However, it is time for Jeff to take another sea duty assignment. As most of you know, we are moving back to Virginia Beach. It will be good for us to be in a familiar location and on the east coast close to family. I know everyone is really looking forward to us being in the same time zone again. We will be buying a house and getting settled as fast as we can, but there is always a few months of transition. We will be with out a phone for a while, but emailing is always a great way to keep up with us while we are in transition. I also am going to try to keep the blog updated. As soon as we get a temporary address and cell phones in Virginia, we'll email those out. The movers are coming tomorrow and we fly early next week. We'll be spending some time in Maine and then arriving in Virginia at the end of August. Keep us in your thoughts as we complete a trans-Atlantic move with two small children!
