We Have a Home!

Our offer was accepted and we're soon to be home owners once again!! It's a great 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath house. It has a 2 car garage, a nice yard and is just about 2,400 square feet. The house is beautiful and we are THRILLED!! It's also in a great school district, as Lily will start kindergarten here. Our tentative closing date is September 28th, but the sellers may be out sooner. We are going over to the house again this weekend for another look so I'll take pics and post some soon. Three days, 45 houses later and we finally have a place to call home. Let's just pray all goes well these next few weeks and we can have a drama free closing.

We May Have One....

Well...we found one we LOVE today. It's a little pricey, but it has been on the market a while so we are hoping that they will accept our offer. We are submitting it first thing in the morning so wish us luck. It may not happen, as we have little wiggle room, but who knows...they may just want to sell!!

House Hunting Day 2

Today was a grueling day house hunting! The weather was 90 degrees and kids were very tired of being in the car. We saw another 15 houses today with a few prospects. We are actually considering making an offer on a house in the next day or so. We are just crunching numbers and trying to make the best deal for our budget. We actually have 2 houses we like a lot, so we are still trying to pick our favorite. One is a little higher in price, so our decision may be made for us. We'll keep you posted as our house hunting adventure continues!!

House Hunting Day 1

Today was a really successful day house hunting. We looked at 15 houses, most of them we liked. Two of the houses we like enough that we are considering making offers on. We just want to take a week and see everything that is out there. The biggest problem isn't finding a house with what we want, it's trying to find a yard that will make the kids and Kastor happy. Virginia Beach houses have NO land. The yards are all postage stamps and we really want something more. There are still a lot to look at so we are keeping our fingers crossed. The two we are considering have okay yards, they just need a little TLC.

On a side note, the kids were GREAT today!! We were out from 10-2 and then stopped for lunch. After lunch Jeff took the kids home and Judy (our agent) and I hit some additional houses. The day actually went really well. Tomorrow we start again bright and early. Jeff and I are so excited to be buying a home again! We'll keep you posted.
