Holi-daily Mail

Another one of our favorite things at Christmas is getting Holiday boxes. Since we live so far from our families, we always have to send and receive our packages through the mail. Lily is absolutely in love with this entire process. She has loved helping pack up the boxes we're sending and open the ones we're receiving. Emma also enjoys the process, as crawling into the box and eating the paper is her favorite. And of course we all know that the actual box is one of the best presents ever.

Holi-daily Nights...

Here it is 10:55 p.m. and Jeff and I are up working hard on the final draft of our Christmas letter. Between the labels, stuffing, updating addresses and stamping, it makes for an all night event.

You might ask what is I love about all this work?? Well, that's easy!! Working and laughing side by side with my super cute hubby!! Thanks for a belly full of laughs tonight Honey....Merry Christmas!

Some people love it, others hate it. I am a true lover of wrapping presents!!

I love all the papper, ribbons and bows. I love listening to Christmas music while I wrap up all the gifts I am so anxious to give. It is especially fun to place them all under the tree and see them glisten under the tree lights...did I mention I LOVE CHRISTMAS!! :)

Today's "Holi-daily"

Another ABSOLUTE favorite thing I love about the Holidays....Christmas letters, pictures and cards. I love reading about what all our family and friends have been up to all year. I especially love all the new pictures. Lily and I go to the mailbox every day at 4:30 and hope for a new card to read. She LOVES checking the mail and opening letters.

13 Days Till Christmas

One of my favorite things at Christmas....beautiful, sparkling Christmas lights! Jeff, Lily and Emma love them too. We have driven through local neighborhoods to show Lily all the festive lights. She gets so excited when we spot a house all lit up. Here is a picture of some of our lights this year. I'll have to post another picture once it's completed. We noticed the gap in the front that needs to be fixed. We also have a big tree on the left that's lit and Jeff is going to do the second story this weekend. More pics soon....

Christmas Crafts

14 Days Till Christmas
Another one of my favorite things at Christmas.....Christmas Crafts!! Lily and I have done a few fun crafts and have more planned for the coming weeks. The crafts include a foam Christmas tree, making ornaments and a gingerbread house. It's so fun to to share activities with Lily as she is filled with excitement and Christmas spirit!

The owner, Merrill Worcester, not only provides the wreaths, but covers the trucking expense as well. He's done this since 1992. A wonderful guy. Also, most years, groups of Maine school kids combine an educational trip to DC with this event to help out. Making this even more remarkable is the fact that Harrington is in one the poorest parts of the state."
