Scrapbooking with Lily

 

 

 

 

Emma was sick today so Lily and I spent the day scrapbooking the Princess album her "Fairy Godmother", Kelly sent for her birthday.  She created all the stories herself and I just wrote them out.  She drew lots of pictures and created wonderful, imaginative pages.   We spent 5 hours together working on the album with a total of 13 pages when it was complete.  It came out so well and she was so proud of it.  It was wonderful getting so much one on one time with by big girl!  I loved seeing her little mind work and seeing all her creative ideas become art work.  

Diving Divas

Ocean Breeze Waterpark

First trip to Ocean Breeze Waterpark this season.  Spent 7 hours there and had a blast!
Lily rode lots of the big slides and Em even tried the Grape Escape on her own a few times!

Botanical Gardens with Cole

Spent some time with Kim and Cole at the Botanical Gardens today.  Can't believe how fearless Cole is in the water!! He had a ball running through all the fountains with Lily and the other kids from his playgroup.  Yes, Em was with us too... she has just been VERY anti camera lately!

Ready to meet my baby boy!

Kim and Bea hosted the host beautiful nautical themed baby shower for me.  It was a "Tushies and Tummy" shower, meaning all the guests brought items for the baby's tushie (diapers, wipes, creams, etc...) or a gift card for diapers.  They also signed up to make meals for my family after the baby arrives.  During the shower, we played some fun games, enjoyed the BEST food and feasted on some delicious cake.  Thank you to all my wonderful friends would came and helped me celebrate the pending arrival of our baby boy.  Your kindness means the world to me. An extra special thanks to Kim and Bea for planning and hosting such a WONDEFRFUL baby shower.  I love you both so much!!

Home Improvements

 

 

 

 

I guess our way of nesting as been in the form of home improvement projects!  We have crossed quite a few things of our "to do list" these last few months.  Here is a slideshow of some of the before and after shots.  Here is a list of our accomplishments:

New landscaping (front and back to include mulching in the playground, lots of new plants and bushes and a new October Maple tree!)

New deck... WE LOVE IT!

New fence

Organized garage (new shelving units and some serious clean up)

COMPLETE NEW HALF BATHROOM

Barn makeover (power washed, new paint, new lattice and a new ramp)

Updated nursery... pics soon!

Thank goodness I have a handy husband!! Thanks to all of you who have helped with our projects.  We are lucky to have such wonderful family and friends to help!!

Grammy and Grampy Prager's Visit

Had a great time with Grammy and Grampy Prager.  Here are some highlights of their visit:

• Lots of fun playing in the backyard
• Trying to stay cool with the pool and sprinkler... it was HOT!
• Walking the dogs, the girls LOVED it
• Getting lots of home impovement projects done (new half bathroom and an organized garage)
• Dinner at Il Giardino's and an evening walk on the boardwalk
• Games, Play Doh and Arts and Crafts with Grammy and Grampy
• Kastor's fancy new haircut
• A trip to the Aquaruim
• Running the "obstacle course" with Grammy in the back yard
• Lots of yummy BBQing
• Quality time together

Thanks for making the long trip down, we loved spending the week with you! See you in August...

Loves to snuggle and give hugs and kisses
LOVES school and playing with her friends (Lydia, Ellie, Caroline, Davis, Brady, Emily, Clara, Isabelle)
Weighs 32 lbs, wears size 4T and size 8.5 shoes
Still naps (sleeps on the bottom bunk)
Loves her big sister Lily and wants to do EVERYTHING she does
Has been pottytrained VERY well since 2.5
Is our girly girl... loves dresses, jewelry, makeup, the color pink and all princesses
Loves to read books with Mommy and Daddy (favorites Pinkalicious, One Fish, Two Fish)
Is not a big TV watcher, but likes The Fresh Beat Band and Backyardigans
Eats well, some favorites are cereal, squeeze yogurt, pasta salad, ham and cheese sandwhiches, "pop beans" (edamame), mac and cheese, blueberries and cranberries
VERY independent and strong willed
Loves playing outside and riding her scooter
Is fearless in the pool, loves to swim and jump off the diving board
Is a Mama's girl
Can't wait to be a big sister and meet her little brother
Loves to draw, color and do Arts and Crafts
Can write her name, sing her ABC's, say The Pledge of Allegiance and knows all her colors
Says "I love you" all the time
Has a "nice sleepy" bear and a "mean sleepy" bear she sleeps with every night
Is the sweetest little girl...

Strawberry/Pea Picking with Ciaks

Fresh Strawberries and peas... yummy!  Loved picking with Mike, Michelle and Leah.  Peas were so tasty, they didn't even make it to the pot!
