False Alarm and Pregnancy Update

Last Monday (July 19th), we had a false alarm.  I woke up and was concerned my water had broke. I talked to my midwife and she insisted I go to the hospital and get checked.  I was really resistant because I knew the minute I got on the  labor and delivery floor I would want to stay and have the baby.  As I suspected, my hopes were crused to find out not only had my water NOT broke, I was not dilated or effaced AT ALL!! I was heart broken. Of course they sent me home.  At 38+ weeks I was really hoping something was happening.  Isn't the third child suppose to come early and quick??

SO... yesterday I had my 39 week appt. and we got some better news.  I'm 1 cm dilated and 60% effaced, lets hope this actually means something!! Lily was a 42 week baby and both girls came via inductions... seems I have VERY stubborn children. My due date is August 1st, just five short days away!! However, the hospital has a strict policy about inductions, I can not schedule one until week 41.  So worst case scenario, we'll have the little man here by August 8th.

Ready to meet my baby boy!

Kim and Bea hosted the host beautiful nautical themed baby shower for me.  It was a "Tushies and Tummy" shower, meaning all the guests brought items for the baby's tushie (diapers, wipes, creams, etc...) or a gift card for diapers.  They also signed up to make meals for my family after the baby arrives.  During the shower, we played some fun games, enjoyed the BEST food and feasted on some delicious cake.  Thank you to all my wonderful friends would came and helped me celebrate the pending arrival of our baby boy.  Your kindness means the world to me. An extra special thanks to Kim and Bea for planning and hosting such a WONDEFRFUL baby shower.  I love you both so much!!

6.5 Months!

Baby Boy Prager, 21 Weeks

Here is our son at just a little over 21 weeks. Both 3D and 4D images, it's truly amazing what they can do now! I think he looks like Jeff! Although, he does seems to have my nose! Enjoy...

SURPRISE SHOWER IN MAINE!!

While we were in Maine for our Winter vacation, my Mom, sister and Aunt through me a surprise baby shower.  Lots of my aunts and cousins were there and I had a wonderful time.  I can HONESTLY say I was truly surprised.  My Mom told me my sister was hosting a purse party... when we pulled in the driveway, I was shocked to see so many guests for the purse party had arrived early.  Boy was I surprised when I opend the door.  See the slideshow below for all the pics.
Thanks so much to my Mom, Aunt and sister for such a beautiful shower.  Thanks to all my family who came and helped me celebrate baby #3!  I feel very loved!

AND IT'S A....

BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 We went to a prenatal imaging place here in Virginia Beach called, Prenatal Miracles to determine the sex of our baby.  Since we lived in Germany with both the girls, we were never able to share baby news in person with our families.  We decided to get an ultrasound early, so we could share the good news during our Maine trip next week and actually see their reactions.  Here he is at 16.5 weeks.  A bit small for 3D and 4D images, but we could still see the goods.  I guess the third time is a charm!  We're over the moon about adding a son to our family! Lots more pics of him soon!

Grand Finale

As many of you already know thanks to Facebook, we are indeed expecting our third and final baby August 1st! Jeff and I were on the fence about another one, but were quickly pushed off our indecisive perch. The day before Thanksgiving I told one of my girlfriends I was late and she bought me three dollar store pregnancy tests. Later that afternoon, Jeff saw the bag and asked, "Are you pregnant?" I said I wasn't sure so he insisted I take a test. After a science experiment with droppers and color matching (no wonder those things are only a dollar), we determined the results did in fact show a positive test. Jeff thought for sure it was wrong or inconclusive due to the fact it came from the dollar store. We decided to test again the next morning with a more reliable test, the EPT. Thanksgiving morning, our results were crystal clear. We are SUPER excited and can't wait to meet the newest little Prager this summer!

I am back blogging, so here is the first ultrasound pics from earlier in January.
Baby is 10 weeks here and doing well...Mama, not so much. LOTS and lots of morning sickness!
