Here are some pictures of us enjoying this years Volksfest. Volksfest is Stuttgart's version of Oktoberfest. The Germans know how to celebrate! The beer tents are large and overflowing with beer. Unfortunately, I seem to be pregnant or nursing every year so we have yet to enjoy the full "fest" experience. Last year Dad, Barb, April and Cailyn were here and we enjoyed some beer, rides and yummy food. This year we ate bratwursts, pommes and schokolade erdbeere. Jeff had a few beers and Lily enjoyed her first Volksfest ride on the "Hauptbahnhof" for kinder. She loved taking in all the sights of the fest. It's sad to think we only will have one more fest to enjoy before we head back to the States.

Volksfest October 1, 2006
