Kid Friendly

September 7, 2007: We spent the afternoon at The Children's Museum of Virginia in Portsmouth. Some fun exhibits included, the inside of a bubble, a life size fire truck and city bus, the controls of a construction site crane, the Science Circus and giant musical instruments. With over 90 hands-on exhibits, including a large toy train collection, a planetarium and tons more, we had a great afternoon.

Lily's favorite exhibit was the life sized fire truck. She just wanted to sit inside and "drive the truck". We had to drag her out so she could see the rest of museum. She also enjoyed the "mini city" (complete with a bank, grocery store and dentist office), the giant musical instruments and the trains. She especially loved picking a free book from the children's library. We loved taking a break for the chaos of house hunting and just letting the kids unwind. It was wonderful watching Lily soak up all the information and explore each exhibit. Jeff and I are so excited to have so many kid friendly places to hang out at. We are hoping to go to the Botanical Gardens, My Gym and a Local Pumpkin Fest in the next few weeks. Lily is going to love Virginia Beach!!

That giant guitar is new since we were last there...Nate would have gone wild!
And find a babysitter one night and hit up Hunt Club Farm's Haunted Hayride...for old time's sake!
